We couldn’t have had better weather for our 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament Friday, July 26th 2024 held at the Sundre Golf Club with proceeds going to the Little Warriors! Seventy-Two golfers were in attendance. The threat of potential wildfire smoke hazard caused a few people to cancel at the last minute, but luckily the air was clear and the sun was shining for the 8:30 shotgun start.
The recipient of this year’s proceeds went to the Little Warriors. This organization is focused on the awareness, prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse. They also advocate on behalf of and with child sexual abuse survivors. We raised $13,000 for this worthy cause, and the winner to the 50/50 draw generously donated his $575 back to Little Warriors as well!
This year, KBA Volunteers hosted an axe throwing game on the course, as well as a chance to win some great merchandise playing Plinko! Wanda Polzin Holman from the Little Warriors was on hand to accept our donation cheque, but also participated in the game and gave a heart felt presentation on the organization that she represented. The team at the Sundre Golf Course provided an outstanding lunch that was enjoyed by all.
