Evie grew up in Fernie, BC where she spent the majority of her time outdoors.  Her interest in aviation began at about 13 years of age and she started her PPL while still in high school.

Evie has been involved at new student orientations at MRU as well as the Women in Aviation Day.  She plans to continue to provide mentorship to her fellow students as well as younger girls considering an aviator career.

True to her love of the outdoors, Evie aspires to be a pilot working in remote and demanding environments.  One of her goals is to fly the Twin Otter and she is looking forward to a career full of adventure, giving back, and continuous learning.

Kimi Olguin is studying Avionics Technology at SAIT.

Kimi is not only an outstanding student, currently achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA, but has demonstrated an enthusiasm for learning and dedication to her field.

Kimi volunteers with Operation Christmas Child every December, as well as with the Calgary Food Bank food drive.  She’s also helped youth in her community who are learning English as a second language, has logged over a hundred hours as a sports medicine trainer, and is looking forward to mentoring fellow students in her upcoming year at SAIT.

In her Scholarship application, Kimi stated that airplanes truly are mankind’s dreams become reality, and she has found that dream within herself in aviation.
